Why would you think the Palestinians would be any different?

Because the Jews had more going for them intellectually & spiritually than the desire to kill other people, even if it meant destroying all their traditional values and 'educating' their kids to kill themselves at an early age?

The Pals are already tired, and if you read between the lines a little (Shikaki's polls are always helpful), they can see this so-called intifada isn't getting them anywhere, they just have to stick to the party line in public. In fact, that's why they are doing so much yelling and screeching about the fence/wall - because they can see what a bad place they will be in once it's up.

Of course they are being used as proxies by every local autocracy. You think they don't know that? But there is no peace available until there is Pal partner for it. No substitutes will do, certainly not the gift to the Pals (& the local autocrats) of a UN/NATO "peacekeeping" force, which would only encourage them to keep going.
