I think he's blaming the reporters for not doing their job in attempting to parse these figures themselves.

Just vollying back some of the hype.

This pattern of charges is so frustrating--it's biased to report any information unfavorable to the "good guys" without sufficiently (assuming anything is sufficient to a zealot) distancing from that information in one way or another. The only acceptable report is a homer report.

I think it's absurd to suggest the suppression of useful information just because there's no way to spin it towards the "good guys." What should the reporter do, not report? Anyone who makes such a fuss about the report should tell us just who it is in Iraq that keeps track of the statistics that would demonstrate that all the dead guys are terrorists? LOL.
