I agree, I was one of the few who was sceptical and shorted the top. I am very conflicted here, as we could go either way.

And I would say the same thing again, there was nothing there suggesting down was coming IMO. We went sideways/up for a month and half at which point we had a bearish set-up with that ending wedge on the SPX. THAT was when we actually had a bearish chart set-up and shorting made sense to me (I stress to me).

Please understand I personally only trade what I can see on a chart, not what the chart may do at a fib point, putative wave count juncture, or possible sentiment extreme. The chart actually has to telegraph me something. And as you said, we agree to disagree here based on our different trading styles. And also as you have said, you aren't short yet but would just be unloading longs around here. I actually think that's probably good advice.

But damn I wish I had held YHOO another week. :-(
