If I were living in Israel, I would feel that if US pulls out of Iraq, the future of Israel becomes more certain.

This is so obvious that I have to assume that I have got it all wrong.

Israel is a third rail (there are so many others that politics in this country is paralyzed), and until it is dealt with there will be no end to Islam's hostility to the U.S.

Not very good odds.
