many put up with, cater to, kiss asses of evil, outrageous muslims and arabs because they have oil. Yeah but we were doing fine not kissing up and using conservation to drive the prices down. Now because of outrageously excessive consumption our soldiers are fighting and dying for oil. how does invading iraq help u s with oil? can (will) U S take control of oilfields in Iraq? how would u s maintain them, control them and the pipelines? wouldn't it cost more than it was worth even if it could be done? wouldn't iraqis, arabs, muslims, chinese, russians make it impossible? Dude, the FIRST thing our troops did when the war started was to take the oil refineries in the north. You have a short memory. We control with a puppet government, just like the Romans and like we tried to do with the Shah. Unfortunately our chosen puppets are bailing out in Iraq. Our puppets in Saudi Arabia are still secure for the moment. But the more we drive SUVs etc the more we need that oil.
