John...Hint for our History lesson this next week: 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act

There is a lot on this googling if we add History to the above. The FBI and CIA COULD NOT exchange info because of this act, or at least the way some of the courts
interpreted it....

Is it possible that the terrorist leadership KNEW this, and decided to use the info to their own interest....Did 9-11 happen because of this 1978 FISA????

And what of the folks who didn't want the Patriot Act to even be created? Did they want this situation to continue to our detriment? Do they still?

Can you imagine the great outrage that would have surged through the right wing nation.

This right-wing troglodyte does not believe allocating blame is useful with respect to 9/11. The bureaucrats did what they could; there was no negligence, no incompetence on the part of either the Bush or Clinton Administrations. Rice had it exactly right: democracies are slow to respond to threats. If there is blame, it is as fairly placed on the previous Administration as the present one.

The criticism of Bush is utterly partisan. Since it disagrees with my views, it is also wrong. vbg

Up pops a serious criticism of the Bush folk; it's called partisan.

When you are the one criticizing the "Bush folk" - it is nothing but partisan, professor.

That is the problem with the "blame Bush first folk" - they seem to have forgotten that Bin Laden/AQ et al are to blame.

So anxious to score political points they forget about the American lives they are costing.
