The democracy thing is pure bunkum. It's a PR scam. The Iraqis did a census about 5 years or so ago. They send out 400,000 teachers on the same day to count people. That's how they came up with the population numbers they have now. Heck, people are slinging poll numbers around so someone thinks they have a handle on the population. There was a proposal months ago to the IGC to use the teachers again. Obviously it was widely ignored by the IGC for obvious reasons: Shite dominance and the US looking stupid. While Shrub is in office, everything the admin does will be slanted towards protecting the oil industry. Everything and everyone else will be a distant second. That includes any concept of true democracy. Could it be true that the real reason we went into Iraq was that SH was about to welcomed back into the world's economic community? He would have invited everyone BUT the US and UK to pump the oil? Ooops.
