The foremost oil expert around was on Ron Insana's show the other day and said ANWAR doesn't have anywhere near the amount of oil we need to even make a dent in our problem. In fact the whole state of Alaska doesn't.

It's also very expensive to get down here from there and would badly soil the environment. The oil companies have been lying their heads off about the eco damage in ANWAR if they ever drill there. No wonder all common sense Republican moderates vote against drilling there.

If we really want to solve our oil shortage, there's only one way, create a new Marshall plan to maximize conservative and new cleaner fuels and engines. We could have done this with the amount of money are wasting in Iraq. Kerry-McCain sponsored the CAFE stanbards bill but the Bushies killed it. That bil alone would save more oil than is in all of Alaska.

Also notice how ever since Cheney-Bush got nominated the price of energy in general has sky-rocketed. The fix is in. Never trust Texas oilmen to run the country again. They think only of themselves and their buddies.

How about a rapacious or predatory person, similar to vulture?

Or possibly a gluttonous creature?
