nuclear is complementary to coal ... I don't think there is a real powerful coal lobby -- like the oil lobby or telecom lobby. Why would coal folks have to lobby -- they are responsible for producing over 50% of the US electrical energy needs -- that won't change fast -- NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.

other than environmental lobby there is no lobby opposing nuclear for electricity.
