GWB has had a career beyond any mans dreams.

How do we know he wants another term? Can anyone prove it.?

His primary duty is to defend the country, and if he prevents the next major terrorist attack on America then people can argue that we spent too much money and effort to prevent it.

So success reduces his chance of re-election.

But he also has an obligation to the GOP, and would serve if elected.

If a major terrorist attack succeeds then people can argue that not enough effort was made and not enough money was spent.

What we do know is that Al Qaeda is still trying, or else the FBI, the CIA, and Dick Clarke, are all liars.

Who contends that Dick Clarke is an (overall) liar ?

Logic would tell us that sooner or later terrorists will succeed if allowed to exist, and that if we lost a city it would be an economic disaster.

Because it would have to be assumed they could repeat that act, and that Arabic Nations would provide the money for the job.

IMO the expenses and efforts being made today are insurance payments covering two factors.

1. Stable oil supplies from the ME
2. The magnificent structures, organizations, and the economy existing in the USA.

And we will not be alone in the effort, since Spain, France, Germany, Japan, and other progressive countries etc will be on our side in a "Virtual Coalition" , despite verbal denials proceeding from Political considerations.
