I am not that knowledgeable about it but I think its more than an in town car. As I understand it the gas engine not only powers the car but recharges the battery so the range is likely pretty good. Going purely from memory I think the gas engine puts out about 70hp which is more then adequate to keep the vehicle moving at highways speeds once its reached speed and they claim the acceleration from the electric is good, forget the claim. jdn
