I can't even remember what it was you thought was a lie. All I can think of is that I said, "I won't go long anymore" or "I cashed out", something like that. Which I said frequently, and then changed my mind. Sort of like saying "I will return all calls within 24 hours, I will return all my library books on time." Resolutions, good intentions. I never pretended to be perfect.

For you to be obsessed over this for years is as crazy to me as if you obsessed over my returning library books late again, after I had resolved not to. Trivial.
