RtS, You have brought up several concerns that can't be dismissed "out of hand", but I like my "indicator" as well which says that with the good earnings season at hand, and the relatively low PEG valuations of the Group, higher stock prices should be forthcoming.

Thirteen of the 25 stocks in the Group have PEG's less than 1. Based on history, that is a very high number. The earnings season before us should bring good news and that should spawn further earnings estimate increases for most stocks in the Group. If Group stock prices do not rise, that says that even more stocks will have PEG's less than 1. I find it hard to believe that scenario is going to happen.

The same situation to a lesser degree shows up in the stocks that make up the SOX as well.

The PEG's here are also quite low compared to the "historical" average.
