"Between 2000 and 2003, according to the "Middle Class Misery Index," compiled with data from government and independent sources, wages dropped 0.2 percent while the cost of tuition at public colleges and universities increased a record 13 percent.

At the same time, health insurance premiums rose by 11 percent and gasoline prices were up 15 percent, according to the Kerry campaign study.

Misery index
"The middle-class misery index worsened 13 points in the last three years -- the largest three-year fall on record," the study said.

The index combined seven different indicators: median family income, college tuition, health costs, gasoline cost, bankruptcies, the home ownership rate, and private-sector job growth. The study said six of the seven statistics worsened during Bush's term. Only home ownership rates improved"

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! >>I KNEW YOU WOULD BE THE FIRST PINHEAD LIBERAL TO POST ANYTHING ABOUT MISERY...I HAVE ALREADY DEALT WITH KERRY'S MISERY!!

Message 20013714

Because Botox John everyone to be as miserable as he is:

JOHN KERRY'S MISERY INDEX

A bit later today a breathless media will be standing by to report on John Kerry's latest campaign gambit ... the "Misery Index." He's going to try to tell Americans just how horrible things are for them.

Well, let's see ....

Inflation is low
Interest rates are low
Unemployment is low and new claims for jobless benefits are going down
Jobs are being created at the greatest rate in years, and a greater proportion of these jobs are high-paid managerial positions.
Family income is at an all-time high, and yes ... that's adjusted for inflation.
Almost one-half of wage-earners pay no federal income taxes at all
Home ownership levels are also at an all-time high.
Fewer people are on welfare
Illegitimate birth rates are down
Record amounts are being spent on entertainment like movies, theme parks and vacations
More and more people are rediscovering their religious faith
Yeah .. it's a miserable time to live in America, isn't it? Well, John Kerry is sure going to try to convince you that it is. Remember, good news for you is usually bad news for Democrats. Bad news for you is good news for Democrats. Democrats in general, and John Kerry in particular, thrive when you suffer. Kerry will do his best today to convince you that you are far more miserable than you really feel. Do you really want to lend your political support to a candidate and to a party that thrives on misery?

Now we know why John Kerry has such a long face. He can't help it, he's just miserable.

Kenneth E. Phillipps pathetic index... ROTFLOL

Yes we all love hearing pathetic Kenneth E. Phillipps whine and moan and groan about how awful awful America is.

The only question abour idiot whinners like Kenneth E. Phillipps is are they becoming 2 years olds again in senility or have then been emotional 2 year olds their entire life.

Not that the answer matters, their wallowing in their misery index is exactly what they want.
