Bill-- re: >>Where?
I can't find any specific warning. Please show me the specific warning about NY. Please show me the specific warning about Washington.<<

Obviously, terrorists do not give specific warnings. If they did, they would be schmucks, and not terrorists. Terrorism 101 mandates acting in a clandestine manner. It is the job of the executive branch to protect and defend us not only from schmucks, but from terrorists.

I am repeating ET's question: If Bush was able to infer weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, why was he not able to infer nonschmuck terrorists?

Among the President's Daily Brief's most non-historical warnings are its two final
paragraphs. The first states that, despite being unable to
corroborate a 1998 report that Bin Laden was looking to hijack planes, ...FBI information since that time indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York.

In addition, it continues, ... The FBI is conducting approximately 70 full field investigations
throughout the US that it considers Bin Ladin-related. CIA and the FBI are investigating a call to our Embassy in the UAE in May saying that a group of Bin Ladin supporters was in the US planning attacks with explosives.

Bill, I can't get more specific than that.
