"The decision to then invade Iraq (regardless of WMD's) was solid as well as it put the US in a position to deal with other terrorist groups on all sides (Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia etc.)."

According to the generals, we don't have enough troops to handle Iraq, much less Iran.

You have to be kidding. You think Cheney-Bush's plan to invade Iraq was "solid" and put us in place to deal withy other terrorists? Try just the opposite, and remember the move has given terrorist recruiters all the ammunition they need. While Saddam was a menace and pain in the butt he was no serious threat. The real threat comes now as we attempt to fight and megotiate our wayout of the quagmire they put us in. Hopefully it's not to late to salvage some sort or quasi mission accomplished, but whatever the mission was to begin with, it's certainly not gone as planned or desired.
