You will have to admit, that we cannot test the alternative arrangement and that you cannot assess the efficacy of private vs publicly funded research ...

Further, because of the way the system operates the price at which products are brought to market in pharma is almost irrelevant to the qtys purchased ...

i.e. that a great deal of pharma research is publicly funded and we do have access to life saving therapies that result from such research -- does not imply that we got a good deal by funding it that way versus privately ...
