Every veteran I have ever met has been proud of their service to our country regardless of whatever capacity it may have been and I know for a fact that veterans are not going to line up to vote for John Kerry who so much as characterized Vietnam veterans as a bunch of baby killers.

Purple hearts? Back when Bush was trying to cover that the aftermath war was going nicely, there existed this minor problem, as noted from the below link. I wonder if the Nebraska senator ever got an honest answer from the Administration. Of course, things were much better then when the below was printed, compared to how things are today purpleheartwise:
