Maybe we can just "privatize" the whole mess and contract it to the Russians! Let the U.N. run the Russians. It couldn't be more expensive than what we're doing now, and it wouldn't be Americans getting killed in this pointless quagmire. (SARCASM!)

Stephen Clark,

You really need to read this.

opednews.com

Read it again. You didn't fully comprehend it the first time:

opednews.com

You really disappoint me. SI sure seems to come up with some characters. Just how do you get off telling me or anyone here that we need to "Be very scared"? You must be a complete jerk to think that I'd fall for such a childish line.

Here, you read this:

Message 20014415

And read my reply:

Usually, I give fools three tries before I put them on "ignore". In your case, I may make an exception. One more idiotic response from you and you're done. Go ahead. Make my day.

In Lebanon in the 1980s, the kidnappers were not particularly choosey when it came to hostages. They viewed the Israeli invasion of Lebanon as an operation that was supported by the entire West. For example, they kidnapped Terry Waite. He was not an American or Israeli propagandist. He was an excellent unbiased reporter who was despised by the Israelis.

Basically, these Iraqis see that their country has been under siege by the entire Western World (UN sanctions) for over a decade, and now it has been bombed and invaded. They aren't into nuanced thinking right now. They are just mad.
