"John Kerry should have – and could have – prevented 9-11," he said.

These folks are the ones with their brains in some other part of their bodies. Don't they know that these things are reported to the appropriate authorities. Since when have Senators become law enforcers and police officers?

I don't know if I should laugh at this silly story or not. So why don't they call a Senator's office when they witness a burglary in progress or a traffic accident? There has got to be limit of propaganda stupidity.

Ann, how could you believe this story and bring it to this thread? Is this something you received in a chain mail or something and instead of mailing it out to ten of your friends, you decided to take the easy way out and post it on this thread!!

Prior to 9-11, airport security was the responsibility of the FAA. Having flown out of Logan on many occasions, I can say that the security level there was about the same as every other airport in the country pre 9-11.

These same type of undercover checks were able to routinely pass through security with banned items not only in Boston but around the country.

Worse, these same checks on security post 9-11 have shown that there is still work to be done on tightening security.

This adhoc attack on Kerry for not preventing 9-11 is as laughable as trying to blame Bush for 9-11. While I think that some of the criticism leveled at the Bush administration by Clarke and others is and should be well noted, to expand that to culpability is purely the realm of the nut cases.

Bush was warned about hijackings pre 9-11. Why didn't he notify the airports? And why after 9-11 did he let all the top saudis and Bin Laudens fly out of the country without being interrogated?

JK has nothing to do with 9-11 except that he warned Bush of such attacks in late 2000. He and Hart/Rudman, the CIA and Richard Clarke too. On the ball versus AWOL on terror.
