The idea that the US and Bush is the problem is a pipe-dream.

With the terrorists, the US is certainly a problem and it does not matter since the terrorists should be eliminated. All the countries in the world are a problem with the terrorists.

But Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism. We are talking about Iraq. Previous US Presidents dis not have a Iraq problem. Even Bush Sr. went into Desrt Storm with a very stated purpose, accomplished it and got out. This President does not know why he is in Iraq. he started off by saying because of WMDs, then he said to eliminate Saddam because he has AQ links, then he said to eliminate Saddam because he is brutal to his people, and now he has come to rest at the establishment of democracy. So he goes in with one stated purpose and ends up with another after going through a series of them. Since he has no exit strategy, since he cannot state whom he is going to hand power over to, the Iraqis have lost faith in him and they have risen in arms. Al Sadr would not have succeeded if Bush was popular with the Iraqis. Al Sadr is not a terrorist like Osama. He has been thrown p as a leader by those who are disgruntled with this long US presence which to them seems to be going no where.
