Was he? I didn't know that...

But isn't it ironic that Jacob is trying to create the impression that being a Quaker means he's somehow uniquely pacifistic..

Yet, Nixon, certainly one of the more astute foreign policy experts, and distinctly conservative (and certainly not opposed to covering up criminal activities by his staff), was a Quaker too...

And now you bring in Hoover, who has been accused (I believe falsely) of being responsible for the great depression.

Also a Quaker.. So what is Jacob to do?? Become a Jain?

I can just visualize him as a Jain "sky-clad" hanging out at his peace-nik rallies in Alaska.
