In my experience those on the right are much more likely to take things to a personal level. Left wingers attack politicians, right wingers attack other posters. They seem to take criticism of the Bush administration as a personal affront.

What a shame, Bush has his evening TV interrupted by unpleasant scenes....maybe he can cut out TV news along with the newspapers he already ignores. "Nobody likes to see dead people on their television screens," he said. "I don't. It's a tough time for the American people to see that. It's gut-wrenching."
