When I said... "So anxious to score political points they forget about the American lives they are costing." I was not referring to blame for the actual event but the zeal to blast Bush for the event (or anything else for that matter) causing them to lose sight of the current circumstance our soldiers are in.

I take your point about their contribution to risk our troops face, but your logic is contorted. There are lots and lots of things that contribute to that risk. What you cite is just one of them. You might just as well pick out equipment failures or intelligence failures or any one of a number of unfortunate decisions. Singling out the one you do is not logical. If you want to put blame for troop loss anywhere but on the bad guys, the best choice is Bush for putting them in Iraq in the first place.

The only way you can have it both ways is to eschew perspective and logic in favor of playing throwing a punch in the partisan "cycle of violence."
