RC,
Kerry called sadr a legit voice. Did he do that? How stupid of him. This would be big news if the bush admin wasnt faltering so badly. They need some new blood or we probably will end up in another chaditation situation. Mike
PS Does Kerry think the folks who defiled the bodies in falujah were freedom fighters.
PPS I think the US needs to cut a deal with Sistani equivalent to the one in place with the Kurds. Sistani seems intent on resisting the Iranian mullahs and creating some separation between church and state. We do need allies in iraq to succeed. Perhaps american backed sistani carrying an olive branch to sunnis in alliance with kurds also with an olive branch in hand would work. Someone in Washington needs to take bold action. Even if this is not out of hand, it is being perceived that way by many americans and that means the unholy al quaeda/baath/sadr/iranian alliance created to disrupt an american success is having success at what they are trying to do.
