Oh, nobody wants to take away the liberty of people who encourage the enemy, we just wish that they'd have the decency to shut up voluntarily.

Saying so loudly and frequently is our First Amendment right, doncha know?

In other words - they complain, we respond - and the First Amendment protects us all. It's a wash.

So, was there an intelligent reason for invoking the First Amendment? I don't see it.

And yes, you're protected by the First Amendment, too, and so am I. Sheesh.

As usual, the fall back and retreat to the canned response about an assault on civil liberties.

I never said that they shouldn't be allowed to say it - only that they should be more cognizant of those whose words they endanger.

And they should be held accountable for their blatant disregard (by voters).

"Terrorists emboldened by lurking in these threads"... yuk yuk... I doubt there are any terrorists lurking here... though SI certainly has its share of terrorist sympathizers - maybe even a few wannabes.
