The bullet holes are there, and you have no explanation for their source. Neither do you...yet you blame our troops frist....quite disgusting....you "blame America" types usually are a rancid sort...

parrot perch- re: It's because I want to be proud of my country that I'm so upset. If your child does something wrong, do you say, "Way to go, Tiger!", and ignore it? That's not being a good parent. Far better to face the unpleasant fact that your child (or your country or your military) has done something wrong, and address the problem. this kid is not grown enough to look at 'country' from the level of a responsible parent. he's still seeing it from the perspective of an obedient child. when he grows a little more he'll see that his parents are not 'country' and 'president'... his folks are 'mother earth' and 'father sky'. then when he lives and learns further he'll come to see that his are the eyes and ears of earth and sky and his heart must carry the FULL responsibility of right action. (right action being that which best harmonizes with and nurtures growth of the universe) and if he identifies with and takes the parental role of nurturance long and openly enough he'll come full circle and see that 'child' is 'father and teacher' to the man and he will learn reverence and appreciation for all that is born and breathes and he will see universe as god and peer and self. but... this will take at least a couple years <g> so leave him be, bless your opportunity to practice acceptance and patience from exposure to him, and keep posting the widely diverse articles. don't worry about the fact that some of them are biased or exaggerated - we're adults here - we can can well see emotional spin from both sides and discard it as we read. just keep pouring them in the pot, we'll separate the wheat from the chaff, thank you. -el wheaties eater
