So, Carl, do you still believe that George "It is our duty to stay the course and change the world" Bush is preparing to withdraw from Iraq?

You have been pretty prescient about most things--except when predicting what Bush would do (that is, you didn't think he would do it). I have to admit--neither did I. I assured more than a few people that he was just bluffing, serving the dual purposes of changing the topic from the economy to Iraq and rallying his supporters for the '02 elections, and getting weapons inspectors into Iraq. I thought that part was pretty brilliant, actually.

Do you think you know what he is going to do now?

Did you hear David Brooks on the Newshour say that Kerry's father wrote a book on how and why the US ought not base foreign policy actions on American exceptionalism? I didn't know he did that. Seems pretty obvious to me. But obviously not so obvious to many others, including Bush.
