I've had great times, too. And I wish them for everyone. Bush should never, ever have invaded Iraq. This alone, no matter who comes along, will be our undoing. So many warned against opening this terrible pandora's box to unleash this debacle, because there would be no turning back. Guess you're right, the future's not all that bright. And I don't see the wingers celebrating anything, either.

The kooks from the looney bin are released and there is no way to lock them back up.

If history is the guide, this empire could fall apart anywhere from next year to three centuries from now. I think we still have time. But the fight might be better fought this summer rather than later in the fall. There are millions of unregistered sympathizers out there. Each of these are far more valuable than campaign contribution. If only two percent of Gore's voters were successful in recruiting another potential Democrat to show up, we are talking an increase of a million votes. We need a scientific approach. I think Moveon should start assembling the focus groups from which we can mine the keys to curing the apathy or laziness or whatever that keeps people away from the polls.
