Re: I predicted a few days ago that the Kurds, because they've governed themselves for much of the past decade, would be involved in the turnover government--

Involved, yes. Certainly the Kurds will be involved. However, if in fact the Kurds are patrolling in Fallujah, I have to say it is a masterstroke of "divide and conquer" realpolitik on the part of the Pentagon.

It is remarkably stupid for the Kurds to allow themselves to be put into such a position, but then, the same can be said for about 100,000 American 18 year olds every year.

Recent "unembedded" reports from Iraq, which I've been following on Democracy NOW! democracynow.org
indicate to an almost astonishing degree that the foot soldiers who are being sent to Iraq are being deliberately brainwashed into a vicious killer attitude, while there is zero effort on the part of the Pentagon to train the soldiers as mediators, community organizers or even to be taught the simplest of language and culture skills that any traveler to a foreign country should master.

It is as if the Pentagon has a plan to deliberately create vicious louts who can't relate whatsoever to the native population of misrepresented untermenschen ragheads.

It's easier to murder those you cannot empathize with.

The Pentagon is deliberately making murder mechanical and sadistic.
