Good article. Bush and his followers are always saying "stay the course" but they never tell us what the course is. What will constitute victory, and at what point will failure be recognized? After two years in Iraq? Ten? Thirty? Bush says failure is unthinkable, but to a rational human being it is not only thinkable, but appears to be the most likely outcome. There is segment of our population that is in favor of any war, under any circumstances. If Bush told us we have to nuke London to protect ourselves, they would be strongly in favor of it. Hopefully there aren't enough of those people to get the stumblebum re-elected.
