I think Shrub has seen the light at the end of the tunnel, and has just realized that he has an electorate train headed right at him. Do you think Rove will let him out of his cage to debate? I'm not sure how he got thru the Gore debates, but, now, he has a record he has to try and defend with lies, and he has to face a guy who doesn't mind reminding us he lies. If Kerry keeps him focused on his own record, he's going to be awfully defensive. Will he have to bring Gollum Cheney along? Will the public force Shrub and Gollum to appear separately at the hearings? Will Rove gamble on an election, or will the try to pull the plug? ...and, has he screwed things up so badly that they are unfixable? Wharf Rat @theflamingswissarmyknifeofjustice.org
