So Kerry had minor wounds, he was still a hero. Meanwhile GW was back in the states skipping duty and probably getting busted for cocaine. Now he lies about it. Kerry has never lied about his wounds. He has always admitted they were minor. But he was under enemy fire day in and day out for four months, taking on very dangerous missions, the type they wouldn't even let soldiers dare these days without heavy air support. He also personally saved a Green Beret's life, saved his boat crew's lives and could have been killed at any time. The Silver Star and Bronze Star were sell deserved. The Purple Hearts are more like candy, they were given out freely in those days.

The same GOP that attacks Kerry for minor wounds also attacks Max Cleland for "not being a hero" despite triple amputations, so if I were the GOP I'd stay clesr of this issue. vets don't like this kind of political attack.
