I do also. And since we're now doing the Mutual Be-Honest Admiration Society thing, I thought Bush was very great when he went in the aftermath of 9/11 and spoke to those searching for survivors, those doing clean-up, when he spoke to all Americans through the bullhorn. Perhaps had he kept that bullhorn in his hand he'd have been a better president!

And now the caveat.

Unfortunately, since that time Bush has lost the respect of most nations on earth, the respect of their political leaders and their people; and especially he's lost the respect of too many newly-minted Gold Star mothers; of too many of the victims of the 9/11 tragedy. In short, he's lost the respect of most people.

I hope never again will Americans put a figurehead into the presidency, and especially one sporting a high school mentality.

Someone commented after the press conference how Bush was having a tough time with the questions. Hey, if he can't handle a press conference how can he be expected to handle nuclear weapons?
