<Gene Licensed Exclusively to Myriad Genetics> New documentary has been seen at Sundance and other film festivals and is now playing in Toronto and Vancouver, slated to come to the U.S. at some point: thecorporation.tv Extensive piece on how the U.S. patent office's rules NOT to patent anything alive went by the wayside couresy of GE, as well as some gene patent issues [hyperbole]. Also a large segment on Monsanto's marketing of the Bovine hormone that is banned in Canada and UK as unsafe, their "suicide seeds", etc. As a side not, I don't know if I posted this here: <Mendocino County (CA) has passed a ballot initiative making it the first county in the U.S. to ban genetically engineered crops and animals.> OF course it'll be appealled and all that, but IMO this is just the beginning... I wouldn't put a dime in GM crops. JMO DAK
