Juan Cole is outstanding -- he was interviewed on NPR yesterday.

Re: Juan Cole --

I'm listening to his Fresh Air interview right now.

The problem with guys like him is that he utterly fails to cut to the chase. He's lost in the clouds, too full of himself to know how to get THE TRUTH out.

Compare the Fresh Air and News Hour "boredom and fatigue" campaign by Cole to the sparkling, brilliant, timely and insightful reportage by Naomi Klein on the same subject.

Check out a fine mind at work on the Thom Hartmann program:

Thom Hartmann interviews Naomi Klein:

The Klein segment starts at about Minute 70, then runs to Minute 80. Skip the 5 minutes of ads from Minute 80-5 and continue with Klein.

Also, see her work in the LA Times, Guardian UK and Canadian press.

She's 300% more informative than is Juan Cole.
