I wasn't talking about winning the "war" on terrorism, but rather the way 9/11 has resulted in many Americans having lost part of their grip on reality.

It's not a case of their willfully refusing to acknowledge reality, they are totally incapable of recognizing it. I think this reaction is probably pretty similar to post-traumatic stress syndrome, we can call it "9/11 syndrome."

In retrospect it would have been a good idea to work on a nationwide system of counciling after 9/11, millions of people would have benefitted from some pychiatric help.

There was mental health services available to the people immediately impacted by 9/11, but not for the millions who were emotionally traumatized by watching it over and over again on teevee.

Re: This terrorist war in my opinion needs to be won by our special forces and intelligence agencies.

Well there you go again. How perfectly silly. The "war" will be won when the American people conquer the Pentagon and take back that enemy territory.

99% of the fighting we are seeing is all due to excessive militarization of our nation.

It is time for America to realize that it has been captured by an alien life force, the military monster.

If we want a decent country, we need to bring all our murderers and thugs home now. They are just making a bloody mess in Iraq.

What on Earth are Americans thinking? We are going bankrupt to support an insane "Baseworld" with 725 acknowledged bases (and dozens more secret ones) in 130 nations. This is insane.

How many other countries have bases in the U.S.? Not one.

We are the ridiculous Goliath of the world, populated with a loutish, ill-educated breed of meddling xenophobes. No wonder the world thinks we are pathetic.
