Well, I doubt you are the "rest of the electorate," since we've well documented the 40/40/20 electorate split. I gather you are a part of the 40 on Bush's side in this one.

As for Bush's communications difficulties, this went well beyond that. One of the features of press conferences called by presidents is clearly to try to persuade the American public of x and y and z. If you have a president who cannot accomplish that, no matter how "right" his policies may appear to be to the 40%, he can't persuade the other 60% and thus is failing at a rather important part of his job.
