Republicans were clearly partisan in
their attacks against Clinton,

Well, that's a step in the right direction. Did it hurt to say that? <g>

but those attacks were no
where near as vile or as baseless.

Vile and baseless are in the eye of the beholder. It is pointless to argue that something is more or less vile than something else. Vile is vile. Do we really want to argue the relative vileness of hitting a dead body with a shoe vs. stringing it up for show? Both are unacceptable.

We have long since passed the point where politicians behave like ladies and gentlemen. So maybe one party gets a minus four curtseys and the other side only a minus three. The curtsey rankings should be on the positive end of the scale, not the negative. Who cares which is worse when they're both horrid? I know, partisans. We should all be working to cut the crap, not quibble about which pig in the mud puddle is dirtier.
