Iraqis want to deal with the French, the Russians ... I think you made that claim up yourself - projecting your gripes against Bush onto the "Iraqis". If I'm wrong, you'll be able to quote at least one Iraqi saying he wants French, Russians to be contractors in his country. If I'm right, you won't be able to.

Do you agree that the Iraqis do not want the US to decide their future and instead let them decide who the foreign contractors should be?

I think the Iraqis are looking forward to Iraqi sovereignity being restored on June 30. I base that on Kofi Annan's statement below:
Asked whether, in light of the current tumult, the turnover of power should still occur by June 30, Mr. Annan said there was little choice.
"The date has been out there for some time. It has been embraced by the Iraqis themselves, who are anxious to see the end of occupation as soon as possible, and I believe it is going to be difficult to pull it back," he said.

Of course, the Iraqis want to be independent. The US and in particular, the Bush administration wants this too. That's why Bush has been pushing for a rapid turnover of power.
