When I've got a word that may have alternative spellings, I pass it through Google. If Google gives me a "Did you mean" response, that yields more hits, I use that spelling. Teleprompter passed the test. I wouldn't worry about an internet spell checker that can't spell internet. OTOH, you have reversed a t and an h in enligthen. I have the same tendancy - er tendency.
