Mish, so sorry to hear about your wife has been laid off. Wish her good luck to find another one soon. At least a temp.

>>Did China ask for our advice?
Are we going to give good advice?<<

You know the answer<g>, no, China has not asked for anyone's advice, and the US is in NO position to give any sound advice.

>>Will China listen to our advice whether it is good or bad?<<

Not a chance<g>

But seriously, China has plenty problems that need some immidiate fix: such as rich people/companies which have the money have no where to invest except those already red-hot areas like automobile industry and real estate; majority of Chinese in cities are saving their last penny for their housing, medical care and education because more and more schools, colleges and hospitals switching to for-profit and the housing price has been "cooked" sky-high; for the billions of poor farmers in countryside, they simply do not have any money to consume except the basic food and shelter need.

As much as so many people gave Zhu Rongji credit for the last 10 years of economic development, the matter of the truth is, the Chinese economy under him has become so unbalanced that it puts China's social stability on the verge.

And only socialist measures can fix these problems. The last thing China needs now is the advice from the US for more laissez-faire capitalist measures.
