Funny... I thought the Sosa question was a softball, tossed up by a (I assumed) hand-picked journalist to close the press conference off on a scripted high note....

Don't know why he flubbed the answer... maybe he just forgot the answer that had been written for him?

Most press conferences by Republican Presidents have hostile questions and little mini-speeches by the leftist journalists. By comparison, this one was pretty mild, and that question was kind of a layup.

Clinton would have laughed it off with something like, "Well Joe, if you ask my opponents, they'd tell you I make a mistake by waking up every day... etc"

Bush gave the absolute worst answer imaginable. To me, he sounded like some kind of a stubborn simpleton.
