yeah no complaints here about SV real estate. Its just not as hot as it was a few years ago in some areas, and prices have held steady thanks to the lower interest rates. Some peripheral areas, like maybe Pleasanton are hot- but that is because they were cheaper than here and now that the job climate is so bad, maybe they shouldn't be. I really do expect these prices to fall in california based on what I see happening to the rental market. I just lowered my tenants rent again, this is the second time I have done so since 02. There is too much cheap rental availability and while home ownership is nice, you can almost rent for what you'd pay in property taxes to own now. I've never seen that before here.
