Speaking of Canada. I've been using the Barclays Global ETF XSP on the TSX for a little added juice. Thinly traded - spreads can be an issue, but they always seem to make sure there is ample volume at bid and ask.

With a rising USD against CAD, you get a little extra juice.

Making a bet that the USD has farther to go (up) against CAD. If wrong, it can of course work against returns in a rising market, and make losses worse in a falling market.
