I do think that there is a correlation between political leanings and social ability.

The blue states of the Dems are the urban areas, where cooperation is needed in every thing one does, from catching a bus to work or merging on the freeway on-ramp to living cooperatively in Condos, apartments or other multiplex housing. This leads to acceptance of others and interaction with others.

The red states of the Repubs are rural areas, where little or no cooperation is needed or wanted. People live mostly in isolation and are not very social. They do for themselves and are self sufficient. They don't need cooperation nor do they seek it in their everyday lives. This leads to a rejection of others, independence from relying on others and anti social behavior.

In a shrinking world like ours we're going to need more and more cooperation as time goes on. The democrat model is the model for the future.
