No doubt the red states are more rural whereas the blue states are home to the major population centers, particularly on the coasts.

I agree that people in rural areas tend to be more conservative and probably more independent-minded than people in urban areas.

I disagree with the premise that people in rural areas are uncooperative. Specifically, your statement that

The red states of the Repubs are rural areas, where little or no cooperation is needed or wanted. People live mostly in isolation and are not very social. They do for themselves and are self sufficient. They don't need cooperation nor do they seek it in their everyday lives. This leads to a rejection of others, independence from relying on others and anti social behavior.

Huh? I live in a generally rural area, and you have certainly not described most of the people in my area.

Your premise is based on a gross generalization.

Now, if you have some empirical research to back up the statement, fine, but otherwise, I'd rank it up there with some of AS's broader generalizations.
