I wish I could agree Mike. Instead I think the FED will have to reluctantly raise rates to deal with inflationary pressures which have been showing up in commodities of all kinds. They will do this as slowly as they can but it will lead to an already evident fall in interest rate sensitive stocks.

As the banking stocks go so goes the DJIA and the S&P 500.

Along with that problem taxes are going to have to be raised in one form or another to tackle the deficits and deal with the future failure of the social security system.

These will be just some of the excuses used by the media to explain why what I expect will continue to be a decent economic expansion does not result in an ever advancing stock market.

There is definitely a high probability of another leg down in this market in my humble opinion. There is at least as high a probability of the market entering a prolonged trading range.

And there is always the possibility that I will be wrong and the market will party like its 1999 again.
