You're suggesting that REFR should be currently worth $30-$40 per share

No, it's worth about 10 times that.

have seen countless times how developmental companies rise with hype and fall on dashed expectations.

Which of those were involved in glass? How familiar are you with glass technologies and their development times? I am very familiar with them. It is a most conservative industry and one that changes slowly but when it does the entire industry changes. SPD isn't limited to just glass either.

With a business plan to return the bulk of earnings to investors in the form of cash dividends, I see no other investment that can come close (unless you've got an inside scoop on the PowerBall numbers for next week).

There are more than a few investors who play these up and downs successfully.

Depends what you mean by "successfully." I think accumulating as many shares as possible under $100 will prove to be the best strategy. It's currently worth much more than that already. Are you not aware of the several products and projects that have been in the works for the past few years? If not, I think you'll find that all the concern about "development" was for naught. We passed that stage in 1998.
