Reno casino clowns fired
ASSOCIATED PRESS

RENO -- Cuddles and Canoli, the Circus Circus clowns who have entertained guests at the Reno hotel-casino and served as community ambassadors for more than a decade, have been laid off.

The clowns are the latest victims in a round of layoffs of upper-and middle-management at the casino in the wake of distressed financial reports, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported today.

Hehheh, are they admitting they're upper and middle management are all a buncha clowns?<G>

hey at least the Nikkei bounced a little in the am first LOL

(sell off hasn't done anything to USDJPY overnight I see)

PS, hit a "32 month intraday high". Sounds like a good time to sell to me ;-)

TOKYO, April 15 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei stock average fell to a morning low at midsession on Thursday as investors locked in profits on recent gainers such as banks, real estate, building and steel firms.

Earlier, the average hit a 32-month intraday high, bolstered by optimism on the country's economy and continuing signs of a pick-up in corporate earnings.

The Nikkei (^N225 - News) was down 1.95 percent at 11,861.98 at midday, reversing its early rise to as high as 12,189.98, its highest intraday level since August, 2001.

The broader TOPIX index (^TOPX - News) was down 1.61 percent at 1,198.22.
